Working from home today? Ah-huh. Thinking about a lunchtime surf? Probably not. It was a 1/10 down there this morning with an onshore mess, rain and deserted beach. Pass…
I’m a water guy, shoot in the water, surf, swim – hover above it in a chopper – it’s been my way to make a living for the past 21 years.
It may be raining today, but we forget only a couple of months ago we were in serious drought with bushfires ablaze. At the peak of the drought, I flew 4 hours in a helicopter all-around greater Sydney – from the Illawarra to Bondi to waaaay out west to Warragamba Dam.
From above – you see it all...
It was a reality check for me personally – to see just how dry Sydney was. My intention – was to show my water-loving readership to continue to take care of our water resource. We live in the driest inhabited country on earth and saving water needs to happen, not just when we’re in drought – but as a way of life!
