Tamborine

Surf Snapper in the morning, have a rinse off under a waterfall in the Goldie Hinterland afterwards. I bet you didn’t know that just up the hill from The Gold Coast there are mountains full of rainforest delights. I didn’t…

It’s so lush up here, around Tamborine. Much cooler weather than the coast. The forest walks are really quite breathtaking.

Tamborine Mountain was inhabited by Aborigines for tens of thousands of years and was the territory of the Wangerriburras. The Yugambeh language is the origin of the name Tamborine, which means wild lime and refers to the finger lime trees that grow on the mountain.

In the past, I haven’t spent much time in Queensland, but three trips in the last month have changed that! I’m enjoying the laid back vibes and warmer weather; that’s f’sure.

I know, I know, the surf is pumping back home in Sydney, just like up here. The whole East Coast has been gifted with epic surf days, typical of this time of year.

This is our last post from The Gold Coast, it’s been good to travel again…I’ve enjoyed shooting and seeing new areas of Australia.
