Chris Little lays into a wrap as Pasha Bulker lingers out back, Bondi

Shippies

Can someone tell me why a number of huge freighter ships were coming in so close to Bondi this morning…like I’ve never seen before?

Was it because?

  1. They were all drug smugglers dumping their loads to be later picked up by speed boats?
  2. They were dodging a large school of fish out to sea?
  3. The work experience kids got hold of the helm?
  4. Pirates?
  5. Fishing/trawling?
  6. None or all of the above

It’s onshore and messy, just how we like it. Some small 2-3 footers on offer, wind affected and ripe for the picking.

If you find yourself up at the Bondi Junction Westfield we currently have a pop-up exhibition running near the Vans Store (right at Bronte Street entrance)…please take a look at my recent work.

The next week Aquabumps will be broadcasted from the exotic Cook Islands. I’ve never been and it looks like a mystical paradise. Only 6 hours flight and I’ll land in some of the bluest water…well, it’s blue in the brochures…let’s see.

If you are living in Singapore and need a surfing fix…well the closet wave your going to get is on the big screen at Tanjong Beach Club tonight. Mark Mathews and the lads from Garage Entertainment and Samsung are showing on a 30 foot screen …. World Champion surfer Mick Fanning’s amazing travel/surf film “Missing”. More deets

  1. Cook Islands are indeed beautiful. My husband and I were married in Rarotonga. Beaches a bit rocky though as islands can be but stunning.

  2. shipping schmipping ,
the surf shots are beautiful today. Great light.
proof that offshore blueness and cleanliness aren’t necessarily the only quality backdrop .
    thanks Uge
