Geurs Corner. The sets of the day

Dry Patch

We’re in the middle of a small swell drought. There are waves…really small ones – you’d have to be very keen as the power throttle is way down to a 5.5 second period. That won’t push much, well anyone over 40 kay-gees would struggle. Most of my mates are double that. Some even triple (Damo)

Swell direction is ENE so places like Manly, The Bra, Whaley would be attracted the most energy. Bondi still had a mini-wave on a shallow bank in the corner (Geurs Shorey). Say 1 to 2 footish. Tomorrow will be a replica of today. Saturday a bit of NE wind swell may pump out the odd 3 footer. Other than that…the 7 day radar shows little relief. That nervous twitch may come back, you be a little kranky and spend more time hanging around the house annoying your partner.

Here are some suggested distractions (and you can still look like you’re doing work on your computer)

  • My mate Damo writes a hell of a blog on old skool board design. Check out where he spends all his time. www.boardcollector.com
  • 1,200 girls in bikinis : the largest swimsuit shoot on Bondi beach Sept 2007 view images
  • Google Earth is great for sourcing new surf spots. I use it all the time to check which ways beaches are facing. Kill hours there.
  • Have a walk around New York in slow motion – video
  • Check out the new Radiator site where you can buy direct from the manufacturer – website

Back to work – or the beach. Adios, Ugios

In the shallows, bit of suction

Escape the heat - hit the beach

Ariana and Taj playing on the shorey
