Bondi Beach this morning, nice curls

The Duke

How nice is this time of year?

You can visit the beach twice a day and still have plenty of light up your sleeve.

The beach is packed and everyone is smiling, enjoying the salubrious conditions.

The surf is still tiny but something is brewing…a swell shall arrive this Sunday.

Do you know who The Duke is? Duke Paoa Kahanamoku I’m talking about. Well…he’s the Hawaiian that brought surfing to Australia 100 years ago. So…this weekend is the celebration of 100 years of surfing in Oz…and it’s all going down where The Duke introduced us to the sport – Freshwater Beach, NSW. Go see this website for all the upcoming events this weekend.

Bye for now, :: uge
