Where to surf that isn't closing out?

Options

Once the swell breaks through the head high barrier it maxes out our delicate Eastern suburbs beaches – limiting surfing options. This morning there was a whole lot of standing around in car parks trying to work out where to go. The answer on low tide – coffee!

I am hoping the higher tides will be more forgiving…nonetheless it’s a stunning day worthy of an outdoor visit. Can you believe it’s going to hit 23 degrees today! Hang on…what’s even weirder is that tomorrow is going to be a summery 25 degrees. Incredible for this time of year. Sunday will see a whole lot of rain so enjoy the good times now.

  1. Here in Cape Town we have been having an unusual run of sunny/summery weather for the depths of winter. Luckily Cape Town is set on a big peninsular so we can usually find a barreling wave somewhere 😉
