Bondi Chronicles

It’s surfable today, even though the morning tides were low. It will improve as the tide fills in.

Earlier, NW winds groomed 1-2 footers. As more water fills the bay, I expect it to be a tad bigger.

The water is brisk (19), but with a forecast of 24 bangers today – you need to be outside – in or out of the water.

I reckon this is roughly my 6000th photo post on Aquabumps. Yeah, no typo. That’s 6000 early dawn starts, fossicking around the beach with my Cyclops lens eye.

  1. Congratulations, Eugene!

I am a Bondi Local, since 1985, and I’ve been following Aquabumps in my email for god, about 20 years. Amazing how you have maintained the stoke! Hardly ever down at South early in the morning, more a middle-to-north-softboard-longboard guy, now that I am pushing 70, but still addicted to surfing.

Keep it up, champ. I’ll say hello when I see you.

    All the best,

    Geoff Denman
