The swell machine has slipped a couple gears and is producing waves around waist to head height. Bondi is bank-less, and most waves are pretty much straighthanders. Awesome early morning conditions with cookin’ sunshine and a light north westerly. Hive of activity on the shores…thousands of people exercising or just flaking out…

Outlook for today is fine and crankin’ 31. Winds will swing NE in the afternoon and become gusty (up to 25 knots). First light was at 4:53am, Sunrise at 5:20am, high tide 12pm, low tide 7pm, water 18-19 degrees. Tomorrow is a RDO for sure with perfect weather and 31. Small waves…

Jarrod Taylor, who created the huge scaffold wave off south Bondi last year for Sculpture By The Sea needs funds for his latest ‘Giant Tornado‘ project. His backer pulled the pin at the last minute…so to raise funds he’s throwin’ a Warehouse Party, 33 Collins St, Alexandria, 13th October Friday, 9pm until dawn, Donation : $15 + BYO. Hot line up – Van She Dj set, Valentino’s dj’s knife Machine, Beau Monde, Banshee. Dooit. Dooit. Email

There seems to be a fair bit of crime around the joint lately. Steve Hunt, local Bondi muso, has had his Maton guitar stolen from a car in Lamrock Ave a few weeks ago. The guy is a mess…as she’s a one off/custom built/primo guitar. If you know of anyone flashing a new Maton guitar around the place – email Steve
