snoooze..
We’ve got 20-25 knots of howling southerly ripping through the joint this morning. Great if you windsurf. Add some dark thick early morning cloud cover and I wouldn’t blame you for hittin’ the snooze button 10 times. Thought it was going to be much bigger. Bondi’s chest high waves were butchered by the onshore – not a sole out – says it all. Hopefully this storm will move a bit of sand around.

NE winds later tomorrow.
South swell. Period 7.0. Winds will howl S/SW 20/25 kts easing to E/SE 15/20 kts. Tomorrow afternoon the winds will kick around to the NE making cleaner conditions.

Max 22 degrees on land today (like winter!), water 21 degrees, showers clearing tomorrow and fine for Thursday and Friday. Forecast doesn’t look so great surfwise (mostly sub 3 foot) so I am jumping on a plane to Noosa for the Festival of Surfing – www.noosafestivalofsurfing.com (Special Thanks to Mark Kelly)

Playground Weekender Giveaway.
You know that big party where thousands of people are gonna get a lil’ creepy for 3 days? PLAYGROUND. Well it’s this weekend up at the Hawkesbury River (Wiseman’s Ferry, Webb’s Creek). QUIKSILVER PRO.
Up at Goldie the top 44 surfers fight it out in Round 3 today. Clean 4 foot at Snapper.
