It was an all star cast out there this morning – Wylie Moyes, Caleb Reid and Perth Standlick. The local guns flaring up amongst the 4 footers at Bondi. It was a shame Bondi’s banks weren’t putting up sections for the boys – most waves were pretty much flat. Somewhere must be going off right now. I’d drive if I had more time.

Bird Shot
Got a pile of email about my Cocky and Kookaburra shot yesterday. Hell, even the Daily Telegraph ran it today. To answer all your questions in one hit…basically I was just wondering down the beach and a Cocky was fighting with a Kookaburra mid-air. They then landed on the poo pipe exhaust at South Bondi, and the Cocky lost it, whilst the Kookaburra stayed composed, and refused to move off the pipe. Wow, sounds like a kids book…but that’s all that happened folks, I shot 3 frames and got a lucky moment between 2 aussie birds…no photoshop treatments (does everything that is interesting have to be accused of Photoshop comping?) and I reckon I was there for 5 seconds (not sitting there all day). So no big story really. See photo
