4 things I like about today:

1. The surf is clean as the wind has kicked around to the north (2 ft)
2. The sun was out, albeit brief
3. The cold air blew off most of the crowds for the early. I still haven’t regained feeling in my fingers though.
4. I had many parking options – yes, parking, remember those puppies! Ah yes, winter Bondi is here.

4 things I didn’t like about today:

1. The swell died off real quick. Was meant to be bigger. Where’it go?
2. The rip at Bondi was like a raging river. It sucked me out to sea many times. Made it very hard to get good shots today whilst swimming with my camera.
3. The sand was freezing, the dash for the car was faster than Carl Lewis.
4. I’ve got a filthy sensor. I need a clean.

We’re on the brink of 20,000 peeps on facebook today. How cool is that. Only took a bit over a year. Check out the 241 comments (if you’re not busy at work). People from ALL over the joint, Cocos Islands, Magnetic Island, Dublin, Colombia, Thousand Oaks, Bellevue Hill, Manly…wow.

Have a nice day, :: uge

  1. Hi Sammy, Really? Tama. Was there for quite some time this morning and didn’t see anything decent roll thru. Mostly closing out. Did I miss something? UGe

  2. Hi Uge,
There were some good sets earlier – 0635 ish but disappeared really quickly ( camera shy ?).

  4. Johannes Leak told me he did some of the best surfing ever seen in the Eastern Suburbs so it must have been very small.

  6. Liam’s a legend… he helped me buy my first board and i’ve never seen a more passionate, knowledgeable & helpful bloke behind a surf shop counter. Go see him at SurfCulture!

  7. There was a rogue 6 foot set at Tama but no one but me saw it. I’m not lending you my boardies or leggies anymore, Ed, you peanut.
