After the skies cleared around lunchtime yesterday the surf really turned on. Probably one of the best days for surfing this year.
The good times continue today with 6-8 footers at Bronte. It looks a little wonky this morning, but shaping up to be a great day. Have a long lunch.
Not many places can handle such a large swell in the East, so it’s imperative to drive somewhere else. Do it now too!
Glorious day, sun is out and we’re looking at 27 degrees today – perfect.

Crazy blog battle yesterday I see! Disappointed I couldn’t get involved, I personally love a good abumps fight, started a few myself.. Can’t believe the waves are firing finally and I’m stuck in China. I guess you will have to take some flicks of some kooks as I’m not out there paddling into bombs for ya. Uge, when you say it’s 6-8 ft, are you using that stupid Hawaiian system that measures the back of the wave? Because in one of these photos the face is clearly more than double overhead, so at least 12-15 ft …

That bombie shot is EPIC! Yesterday arvo it was even bigger and breaking further out. I am yet to see anyone paddle onto one of those bad boys. Does anyone know if it has been done? There’s another one on the north side of Maccas that also looks gnarly.
