The Challenge

“Don’t put up those bloody Hawaii shots! We want Bondi…”

That’s how my morning started. The challenge was laid down in front of me as an avid reader piped up across the dog park. I had to try and make something interesting from the mundane.

Bondi was a very bland flavour of grey this morning. It rained around 6am too.

The beach was empty.

1 guy out on his foamie (who actually didn’t catch anything whilst I was visiting the shoreline).

Another dude was singing, like a rock star, still in his clothes from the night before, I could smell the stench of bourbon downwind.

Good old Bondi…it can be so damn shiny one day, and ghetto the next. I’ll ‘fess, I do enjoy these quiet down days that fall in the cracks.

Looks rough, but probably worth 10 million around here.

Murray Cox, see him every day

A keg and motobike on the front porch - very Bondi

About the only 2 swimming this morning

  1. “We want Bondi”
Absolutely agree. Even if it is some sorry surfer trying to ride a barely visible wave. That’s what I’m here for 🙂

  2. Just wondering if you’ve ever done any photography courses? It’s just you don’t apply the usual rules of composition; your focal point is often in centre of the picture not allowing the eye to explore the rest of the photograph. Basiscally, want to know if you’re intentionally breaking the rule or you’ve never learnt it?

  3. What bloody difference does it make if UGE has done any courses or not. All his photos, including holidays & Bondi, are enjoyed by 40 odd thousand people around the world every day for the past 16 years. UGE manages to bring a little sunshine into every ones day. What’s your claim to fame Tandy?
Keep up the good work UGE.
