Moments

It’s been a testing time to be a surfer in Bondi. The sandbanks could not possibly be any worse. Even with swell, we can’t seem to get a wave to break in a decent fashion. High tide it seems to push right up onto the shoreline and dump, right on the dry sand. On low tide, it just doesn’t seem to break at all.

But…

There are moments for the super enthusiastic, the eternal optimist, the man grommets. You know who you are… I am talking the guys that will paddle out in ANYTHING. This morning there was a short window where the corner had a surfable wave, nothing wrong with my 1st picture…you’d surf that right? These moments are shortlived…blink and you will miss the wave of the day.

This Wednesday, February 14th is Valentines Day. Fellas, a carton beer and pizza (whilst watching the cricket) may work on some women, but can I suggest clicking this link right now, pre-booking a delivery of flowers from lovely Jane at Floreat Floral? She’s never let me down and scores high on the brownie points for when the swell and waves finally return to Sydney.
