Blown to Bits

It’s howling outside. A roaring 30-knot westerly is tearing across Bondi, blowing any hint of swell back to New Zealand. It’s flaaaaaaaaaaat. So flat that only one lone frother gave it a crack this morning… with zero success.

These gusty land-breezes will stick around ’til Friday, but good news: the weekend looks surfable again. Swell returns. Winds chill out. You’ll be back in the brine before you know it.

Two things to get around tomorrow (Thursday):

  1. Pauline in Bronze FundraiserBondi Hotel, 6pm.
Come support our only local world champ, Pauline Menczer, who clawed her way from Scum Valley to the top. Funds raised go towards a well-earned statue on the Promenade. Tix are $20 — includes a feed, raffles, and frothy chats. Hosted by TRACKS Mag.
    🎟 Grab tickets
  2. Bay Fest @ Rose Bay Secondary College4–7pm.
A community knees-up with food stalls, music, and an online auction to raise dough for school infrastructure.
