Full as a boot out there today. 1.8 metres of fat at 7am high tide. Swell has hung in there with waves breaking 3-4 foot, but they’re all porked up. I would wait for the low tide.
Slight onshore winds now, currently Easterly, but later 5-10 knots of North Easterly forecasted. Don’t expect much on the weekend – she’s droppin’ fast.
Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D
I’ve never seen a 3d IMAX movie before last week, let alone a 3d surf movie. I loved it. Incredible experience – took a bit of adjustment at first. Ultimate Wave Tahiti is a film by Stephen Low shot at the most picturesque break in the world, Teahupoo, Tahiti. The main stars are Kelly Slater and local tank Raimana but the ocean shots are what drew me in. I recommend seeing it for sure. Launches today at IMAX. More Info
