Ghostlines

Today is a case of ‘should-a-got-up-early’. Looking out the window as I type this, it’s grey and gloomy. At 6 am we had a few brightly coloured clouds and plenty of nice light to shoot. The waves were not crash hot, mainly due to the absence of sandbanks and a incompatible mid tide. I feel the higher tide (10:30 am) will stop the waves breaking out the back and focus purely on the shorey, which has nuggets. (Mum, I will explain what this all means later – I know you are going to call me and ask what the hell I am on about).

There will be OKish waves all weekend long, but again – I would go to another beach with banks or a reef!

I get a lot of emails asking for photography tutorials etc. I rarely do them, mainly due to time constraints, travel and the fear of coming out from behind the lens and talking to a huge audience. Well, on the weekend of 28-29th April 2018 Aperture is bringing together 7 well known Aussie photogs (plus myself and Ray Martin) to share our stories, techniques, and discuss all things photography. It’s going to be at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour Sydney. If you like my pics, I would love you to come and laugh at my jokes and not throw rotten lettuce’s on stage. I’ll even give you a whopping $150 off the ticket price using promo code “AQUA150” Book Now (please)
