Waterworld

Even though the surf was dribbly and without push, it was a fun vibe in the water.

Firstly, it’s warm in the brine – 23+ degrees. The warmest time of year to swim, so get into it.

Secondly, there’s good banks and the odd 1-2 foot had a loggers wall spilling to the beach.

I had the whole family out there, enjoying the cloud-smothered sunrise—the best way to start the day.

The WSL roll into town…
The LAX to SYD WSL private charter flight has arrived in Australia with 111 people on it, including 34 of the best surfers in the world. They’re all in the mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine before letting rip in Newcastle on April 1. I’m super psyched to have not 1 but 2 WSL events near my home. Years ago, I used to chase the tour a bit in Hawaii, Tahiti and of course Snapper, so it’s so good to have tour comps in our backyard. See WSL vid on the charter flight

If you’re in the market for some Canon lenses, I’m auctioning a few on eBay.
