Gromfest

The swell has switched from south to more ENE – making smaller waves at Bondaka. A couple of rip bowls in the south kept the micro groms entertained as the tide went high (7:30 am). Not many waves are wasted when Bondi’s youngsters mob a peak, 1 foot, half-a-foot, two foot – they thrive.

The flanking S wind is onshore, around 10 knots and not ideal around here. Manly would suit this combo well.

Great news – the weather and waves look great over the Easter break!

Great news – Aquabumps has raised $2,364 for the Bondi Surfaid Cup (help on May 26). Thanks so much to the 35 readers that have generously chipped in – it would be awesome if the rest of the 35,667 readers could spare a few bucks for my annual charity drive for Surfaid, our leading charity. Donate now pretty please

And lastly, great news – water temps are cooling, so Aquabumps readers score $100 off a new Project Blank steamer using the code “Corners” and this link. I’ve just received the new freedom suit, and they’re WARM. (more on that later)
