I’ve got a lot of admiration for those brave souls diving into the ocean on mornings like this. The water’s actually warmer than the air, but it’s that barefoot bolt across the sand that’ll test you. Thankfully, there was barely a breeze this morning, and last night’s squall cleared out to reveal a beauty of a winter’s day.
This Saturday is the winter solstice — the shortest day of the year. Just 9 hours and 56 minutes of light. After that, it’s all gravy. Longer days. Warmer dawns. Eventually.
Our favourite right-hand bank has shifted down a few gears — barely pushing 1–2 foot this morning. Perfect logging conditions, mellow and glassy.
This week’s looking mostly sunny, but cold. Some mornings will dip to 5°C. Chuck on a few layers, grab a coffee, and get yourself down the beach. It’s still Bondi. Still worth it.
We make really big artwork. Like, 225cm x 151cm big.
We call them Megalodons — named after the largest creatures to ever cruise the oceans.
They’re bold. They’re epic. And they’ll dominate any wall in the best way possible.
