I know, you’re sick of being home and want your old life back. We all do, you’re not alone. What a great time to learn something new! Every day I am trying to learn a new skill, mainly through Youtube. Just google anything, and I bet there’s a “How to…” video on it. Learn the guitar, learn to cook, even improve your surfing! Being a camera nerd there are a plethora of photography instruction vids. I’ve been honing my post-production skills.
Wanna surf Bondi? Hell-yeah!
It sounds like you might be able to surf Bondi soon – without jumping a fence. SMH All I really hope is when the gates open everyone has spacial awareness, and the line up doesn’t get packed out. We’ve all seen when the beach was open – what happens on a hot day…
From one of our readers:
“I have come to look forward to your daily messages as a highlight in my day…and the incredible psychological boost I get from your always amazing pictures.
My point, however, is that…never have I needed your stuff more than at the moment. My wife and I are in detention in the Sydney CBD, having returned from the USA last week. We have no fresh air and no ability to exercise and every meal is delivered by three armed police. Getting a coffee was a 3-hour ordeal yesterday. On top of that, we have both now tested positive and are about to start a new 2-week lockdown in an as yet unknown location.“
Hang in there…
Stay at home…
Wash your hands…

Really appreciate your daily post. I was born on an island, grew up by Ft. Lauderdale beach and now live near the Jersey Shore. Your pics of Bondi make me feel the sun and smell the waves in my mind’s eye. Thank you for the moment of peace and wonder that brings every day!
